International Citizen of the Year
Since 1985, the International Center of Indianapolis has honored individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Indiana and the world in the fields of business, culture, education, government, medicine, media, research, sports or community service. In 2010, the Center will present its 25th International Citizen of the Year Award to Governor of Indiana Mitch Daniels.
The 2010 International Citizen of the Year Award Dinner will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 West Maryland Street.
The evening's program will feature special performances by the Indianapolis Children's Choir, Dance Kaleidoscope, Indianapolis Minyo Dancers, members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and two-time Grammy Award winner and Regional Emmy Award winner Sylvia McNair, a faculty member at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University.
Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are previous International Citizens of the Year Sidney Taurel, Chairman Emeritus, Eli Lilly and Company, and Dr. Martin C. Jischke, President, Purdue University, retired, as well as Albert Chen, President and CEO, Telamon Corporation.
